A wonderful seasoned oyster cracker recipe similar to others, but with different I think they could use a little more spice but that's really a personal preferance.

Spicy Ranch Oyster Crackers

Hi Christy and thanks for pointing this out. Always keep a big tupperware bowl of each on the counter this time of year just in case some one drops by. BW, do you think Tar Baby would mind a couple of party crashers next Thanksgiving?? Better too! They taste the same. They are gone in a flash! Yes, I still bitch about cereal prices…. I just made a batch of both the other day. My whole family loves them. Good luck! I just roll the jar a couple of times every few minutes for an hour and hand them over in a bowl to the munchers. Termite is going Saturday and we have seen some ducks fill the sky this week. We had a family gathering at Thanksgiving with over 50 people. These are great for snacking on during football. Also, if you want to get brave, buy some Nabisco Premium Mini Crackers and try this, or even a sleeve of regular sized saltines might work. Made batches using the mini saltines and pretzels. One of my grandsons love these things. Christmas time I open this recipe and make a batch for my husband and a batch for my family. But my favorite was missing; ducks. My goodness….. I personally like these better than the Multi-grain crackers I had over the weekend. She always used ranch and dill weed. No offense taken. So, bring on those fishing jokes!!! Check out the new post about savory pecans. Thanks so much!! I can buy 70 pounds of feed corn for the price of two boxes of corn flakes! Hey, today was my big charter. Thanks for supplying it. I was given this recipe last Sat. Are you in TX now? I purchased the ingredients to make them, but I think I might go back to the store and purchase the Oyster crackers and try them. Sure saves a load of cash. My dad was like I dont east oyster crackers…2 bowls later he finally had enough and took a gallon zip lock bag with him. Geeze her menu sounds good. I love to read comments like yours where folks are making things, sharing, and making people happy!!! I make them times a year. I love Chex mix but, the salt is murder on my feet. I know YOU have already done that! Merry Christmas!!! Made these years ago and lost the recipe. I forgot about the four whole fried chickens as well. My kids gobble them up. Thank you, Bayou Woman from this Texan!{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} Hubby loved them! MrsCoach, do you do it the same way, but just substitute pretzels for the crackers? Hubby is gonna love the pretzels! I remember having to call the number at Hidden Valley for the recipe when he was about 4 or 5. Chickens fried whole puts turkeys to shame and wild duck fried whole trashes them all. Oh, she is a he. Merry Christmas, ! I have the option to delete the comments when I republish a post, but I thought it would be fun to see what our thoughts were four years ago. Addictive really suits this one!! I may have to try this variation! Thank again for another perfect recipe.. Will either work? He graduates in May so, it has been a long time since I got him hooked on them. BTW When did cereal get so dang nap expensive? I season mine with red pepper instead of crushed red peppers, until they are about the same spicy-ness as hot Cheetos. And I certainly hope you enjoy it! They seem to go good with conversation. And that, my dear friends, is all there is to it. However, they used 4 sleeves of Premium Multi grain crackers. The most popular dish; saltines made exactly this way!! Thank you BW!!! This week made 30 lbs of andouille, 15 lbs of hot cajun sausage, 15 lbs of smoked cajun sausage, and tomorrow its Keilbasa! I love all the party foods that make appearances during the holidays. I was surprised with the ease of finding the oyster crackers though, guess they are getting more popular. So, it is store bought or nothing. I am still pulling for Blu, seems sort of quite around here without him even though I had no idea what he was talking about half the time LOL. They turn out nice and crunchy with no extra baking! Man, I would bring the spicy oyster crackers just so I could sit down at their table and drool!! She made spicy pretzels instead. They truly are more-ish. Its alot different than todays. These are really good little crackers! He is a die-hard, freshwater panfish fisherman. I want some of that andouille!! Well, I hope you took advantage of it and wrote it down!!! I use olive oil rather than canola, sometimes use full saltines or mini-saltines, and vary the amount of red pepper flakes- but the crackers are always delicious! So glad you let me know. Made a batch yesterday using Premium mini saltines. The recipe is timeless, and, oh so good. One of the best up in Chicagoland area! It speeds it up to toast these in the oven for about 15 min at The oil absorbs very quickly and they are so delicious warm. Will make two batches- hot and not so- I think the baking is a good idea. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}Please enable JavaScript on your browser to best view this site. I mean corn, rice, and wheat are plentiful. Its just that time of the year! But its all good though. Not a single trout bite again today. I have made these every holiday and game day for the last 7 years!!! It is literally the easiest and tastiest snack in the books, and I have never had on earth person turn them away. You will enjoy the small crackers! I would love to have this recipe with the cayenne pepper, I tasted them not long ago at a party and was told they had cayenne pepper, Ranch dressing mix, and lemon pepper in them. The KIDS can even make this recipe themselves. Would love to have this recipe! Next year it will be at my house on the Diversion Canal in Ascension Parish.
